The following video is the byproduct of a lot of things the first one being my first semester in film school. The rest is social commentary. My thoughts were centered around, 'if the folks of yesteryear knew what we would do with their sacrifices, would they do it all over again?' This video is to be used for educational purposes, I do not own the rights to these images but I am in charge of the editing (Vera Walker from Harlem Nights voice). Imagine Abundance Visual Symphony — OneWorldJournalist | CatchLight

I had the pleasure of working with Angelica (OneWorldJournalist) and Ericka on this creative project for CatchLight. I served as the day of on the ground artistic director. Credited as the Director on the short used to garner submissions for the full creative work.

Description: As part of the Imagine Abundance: Visual Stories of the Bay Area exhibition, EDBA artist Angelica Ekeke will create a short performative “visual symphony” inspired by the submissions of the community around the theme of “abundance.” The images and video submitted by the public will be the source material and inspiration for Angelica’s performance, a new creative medium she identifies as a “visual symphony,” which fuses live journalistic reporting, documentary film, and a live score. Angelica’s creative vision is guided by the desire to bring to the foreground people who are living on the outskirts of their society including immigrants, minorities, refugees, the poor, and victims of violence.

ROE V. WADE

I recall my instructor being outraged that one of my classmates didn't believe in the vote, he was white and male. She spazzed out on him, I literally never saw him again. I don't know how I feel about the vote at present. What I can say is that her actions spurred me into action. I started to research what it would mean to have Roe v. Wade revoked. This piece is the final product.
