Highways and Byways…
“Pretty and ugly go hand and hand.” That is what I hear when I look at the photos taken this good Sunday. I don’t really want to separate the curds from the whey. I think I know a bit more about what I’d like to see in my photos. More spaces, more people, and more plants. Something ethnobotanical meets architectural. I saw a photo online maybe a week ago that struck me, something clicked that I know will keep clicking as time progresses. Leaving this note here for memories keepsake.
I “be bored” (African American Vernacular English (AAVE)) and going through motions to keep the muscle alive. What is really cool about the process is that whenever I go out to shoot, another piece and or peace is revealed to me. I noticed highways and byways were a theme this week.
Notable themes: routes, how we get there, how did we get here, art is in every place, being wired right. Photo concept credit to Pier for the green image :).
