Seeing things differently…
Randomness
I recorded my thoughts daily but I do not see a recording for June 9, 2021. Here are photos of things that caught my eye. I’ll make small descriptions below some of the images to highlight thoughts and reflections. Thank you <3. I planned to visit the Contemporary Museum of Photography but I was turned off by free admission with a side of data mining. They want your consent, a brief survey, temperature scan on the forehead, passport-like headshot, and who knows what else once you step behind the velvet curtain. Tech Wizard of Oz anyone? Quick question, where did Dorthy really go? What’s the real message? I’m rambling but the more I thought about all the information I was providing for free admission into a museum, I began to question what was in it for the institution? I’d rather pay for admission like I did at every other establishment that did not ask for my left leg. I changed plans and decided I’d try to create my own little piece of contemporary photography. Have a look at the randomness that ensued below.

Big Bus Tour
I would have to vote no on the Big Bus Tour at least in Chicago. I’d be curious about their offerings beyond the night tour and outside of Chicago. In Chicago, the buildings seem to be best-experienced walking and riding a boat. Eye-level or lower not atop a large moving bus. I learned on the architectural boat tour two years ago that the buildings are formatted to appear larger with windows that get smaller the higher they are…its anesthetic. I can do the touristy thing but what I cannot do is the pre-recorded track that sounds like a cartoon dubbed with the driver shouting, “getcha picture, getcha picture, the fountain to the left!” Did I mention, “duck, duck, duck!” Incoming a huge span of branches. I’ll add the photos from my DSLR camera below.
